Vision Keepers to be Honored
Two Lake Street Church of Evanston (LSC) members will be honored on Sunday, February 16, at the Interfaith Action of Evanston’s Vision Keeper Dinner.
Phyllis Nickel has served LSC and the wider community with a focus on fair trade, affordable housing, immigration and racial justice. She has served as Moderator of LSC, participated in the launch of the Sustenance Connection ministry to Hilda’s Place residents, and currently chairs the Cooperative Ministries Committee, supporting non-profits engaged in work with LSC. We are grateful that she steps up to take on tasks as needed.
The memory of Reverend Liz Stout also will be honored. Rev. Stout was an interfaith minister who enriched our community. She was instrumental in the Interfaith Clergy group, Interfaith Action of Evanston and Hilda’s Place. She lived her interfaith beliefs by participating in various faith communities throughout Evanston.
