Amid health crisis, LSC plans first online-only church service
Dear Friends and Members of Lake Street Church,
We will be hosting Sunday worship using Zoom this Sunday, and plan to also offer Facebook Live as an alternative. Please be patient with us as we attempt new forms of connection during this time. The invitation is below. I encourage you to use your computer or smartphone to access this meeting, and I encourage you to spend about 5-10 minutes familiarizing yourself with the platform before calling in. While no registration is required, you may find it beneficial to download the app before you attempt to join us for worship, for instance. The easiest and most guaranteed way to join us is by clicking on the link under “Join Zoom Meeting” as that will enable video and audio. You should be able to type your prayer requests using the chat function and we can use those in real time. Also, your video will not be shown with other participants, so you don’t have to worry about how you’re dressed. Pajamas are encouraged but not required.
We will also be hosting a mid-week gathering on Zoom with more interaction between all participants, so that we can pray for one another. Please, if you find out someone has not received our cancellation notice, inform them that the worship service will not be happening on site this Sunday.
